I often get asked, how I go about styling my bedroom. I love linen and tend to mix my budget finds with the odd luxury one off items.
You really don’t have to spend a lot of money to create your own private sanctuary.
My advice is to start with a colour or palette that you want to achieve within the room. Take into consideration your “style”….coastal/beachy, modern, contemporary, French provincial etc.
I would start with the linen, layer with cushions & throws. Place decorative items on your bedside tables and add matching lamps for symmetry and to balance the room.
Don’t be afraid of quirky art, layered textures and patterns. Not everything always has to be matching. You can still create an amazing, cohesive space with a little creativity.
I then used products from one of my favourite stores Adairs. The teal throw, cushions and Euros are all from Adairs. Yes, they aren’t cheap, but so worth the investment. 😀
I have used these Kmart tables as bedsides and only cost me $29 each!! Also, adding the new Kmart grey weave basket & faux sheepskin rug.
Now…..artwork. I love art, I can’t get enough of it. I change it all the time and don’t like to spend too much. I have found some amazing companies like Print Bot Art Prints and One Tiny Tribe.
