After refreshing my lounge room, I didn’t really want to rush out and spend lots of money on new cushions. I have previously done so and as we all know, you can easily spend between $40-$120 on just one cushion.
I really have a huge copper crush personally at the moment, of course it’s very on trend also. I had seen some absolutely divine copper leatherette style cushions, I so desperately wanted. I was not about to pay the crazy prices they were asking…..so off to the shops I went.
Spotlight turned out to have a massive fabric sale, some marked down as much as 40% off the original price. Anyway, after scouring the store for almost and hour mind you, I found the most amazing copper fabric/leatherette and amazing Geo black and white print also.
Armed with my goodies, I head home & set up the sewing machine……I had 4 cushions made in less than one hour. How you ask? Well, I did cheat……haha. I decided to go with the no zip option (I wanted a super quick update – little time) so I sewed them in the simple envelope style.
Voila, 2 stunning copper cushions and 2 black & white Geo cushions!! All for the bargain prices of $27.99 to be precise. I hope I have inspired you to drag out that sewing machine & whip up some of your own designs.
