Welcome to Budget Home Living…..our 1st ever post….I hope you enjoy reading
I recently decided to re-decorate my downstairs living room, I was getting tired of the old look and wanted to take the inexpensive approach to it. However, looking for a new quality lounge suite can be difficult. So….after several months of looking, knowing exactly the style of lounge I wanted, I hit the jackpot.
So, armed with cash I enter the store and realise that the said lounge suite is on sale…..
YAY and its currently $200 off the original price. With that in mind, I was advised of the extra warranty option…blah, blah, blah….however, this one I actually did purchase and for good reason.
1. It provided and additional 3 years on the 5 years warranty it came with &
2. It covered accidental damage, rips, tears and or stains. Even a one time pet claim…haha (naughty cat)
I ordered the lounge and of course now the proud new owner of “Hurley” sofas by Super Amart…..I chose the Onyx colour and just love the linen type fabric. The lounges, comprising of a 2 x seater and a 3 x seater, only ended up costing $1,299.00.
I had a really clear vision in my mind of how I wanted the room to look…..I was quite content with the concept of grey, black and dark moody hues.
After some styling with existing items, purchase of a new rug from IKEA $239.00 and coffee table $89.00, this is the end result of my lounge room/living room. I don’t know about your thoughts….but I’m quite please with the end result.
Overall, quite an inexpensive updated room. Yes, we all can’t afford to go and buy lounges regularly, however you could still achieve a major update with some stylish throws over your lounges. As I have here pictured above…..This one was from Ikea also for $20.00.
Happy styling from the BHL team. xx
